WHEREAS it was the consensus of a limited number of Negro Baptists in Northwest Florida in 1871 to build for themselves a strong union of Christian fellowship, and to this end established an organization for the educational and denominational development of Negro Baptist, therein uniting and agreeing upon certain principles and organic rules, which may be from time-to-time as the body deems necessary.
The object of the Association is to support Florida Memorial University , the District Congress of Christian Education, the Laymen, Ushers and Choirs Institute, and Extension Unit, and foster other projects that might become needful for area development.
